Structure. Communities are formed by
Pinus sylvestris and have a poor floristic composition. Herb layer is poor both in the specific composition and in the cover degree.

Hieracium pilosella ,
Jasione montana ,

Dicranum rugosum ,
Polytrichum piliferum and others occur in the lichen or moss-lichen cover.
Ecological characteristic. Habitats are formed on the sandy, well-drained, poor in nutrients soddy-podzolized soils with a low humus content and pH 4,2-4,5 on the dunes and tops of sandy hills. They occupy elevated mesorelief forms or plain areas with deep ground water level (below 5 m).
Threats. Farming and recreation, in particular, deforestation and grazing, as well as fires lead to decline of diversity and formation of the forests with

Management. Prevention of the habitat integrity destruction, regulated deforestation followed by the renewal.
